This cast iron mural was an important visual landmark for library-loving Edmontonians for many years. It was commissioned in 1967 for the north entrance of the-then Centennial Library – now the Stanley A. Milner branch. The mural consists of 10 panels, each weighing 1100 pounds. The dark surface of the 10 X 20 ft work was attained through burnishing and glazing.
