“When the call for artwork was made for the new Belvedere LRT station it was requested that the work reflect the history of the Fort Road area. I decided to compose an artwork that represented the various labourers and wage earners that helped to build this area, that has now become part of Edmonton, and continue to be the foundation of all communities,” writes Father Douglas.
