“After a one year contract, and internship as a corporate multimedia artist – the past three years of my professional life have been dedicated to freelance creative direction, and design. Art – and particularly painting, have become my refuge from worldly pressures, and rules that inevitably accompany an employer/employee relationship. There are no techniques too unorthodox, no images unsuitable, and no brevity to any given project. The beauty of both – working in a studio, and working for a studio is that Art, and Advertising share a parallel idiom by containment of a central narrative… Communication is achieved through images, ideas, and overt messages. The images, and ideas presented by the artist constitute only half the dialogue. It is the viewer who contemplates the narrative.”

“As an independent artist and utilizing Mode Sensory Gear as a vessel to do private and public contract work I have completed two large scale commissioned aerosol murals under the Art and Design in Public Places Program. The murals encompassed educational, artistic, and approachable values. I also extend my art to small scale projects and paintings. The first of the murals was painted live at the Works Visual Arts Festival in June/July 2002. As proposing curator of the mural my goals were to gain positive exposure for aerosol art and the skilled people that choose the medium. The exhibit was a success visually, and attracted festival as well as media attention… The second of the murals was painted on site at 101^st and 105^th avenue.”
