From the Model

From the model is a creative piece, made by the artist in a moment of inspiration. Artist Susan Owen Kagan says that she motivated by an object and the poetry of its relationship to its surroundings to begin sculpting. Many classical works of art including paintings were inspired by such moments, she says. 

The work was part of the Sculpture by Invitation program presented by The Places program at the Royal Alberta Museum before finding a home in Belgravia Art Park.
