Located on the Heritage Trail along the Victoria Promenade, a bronze bust of Lucien Dubuc looks out towards the river, alongside the busts of three other prominent historic Edmonton citizens: Nellie McClung, Maude Bowman, and Abraham Cristall.

Originally from Saint-Boniface, Manitoba, Lucien Dubuc came to Edmonton in the 1990s to practice law. By 1920, Dubuc had been appointed to the Alberta District Court Bench, beginning a career that culminated in his appointment as Chief Justice of Northern Alberta. Dubuc was the president of the Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta (19321934). He was also the first judge in Alberta to allow proceedings in French. Lucien Dubuc died March 51956.
