Winterruption YEG

The Winterruption YEG festival’s 5^th festival takes place Jan 22 – 26, 2025. Additions to the line-up include Nashville roots artist Phosphorescent, Halifax’s indie rock act Nap Eyes, Winnipeg folk crooner The Secret Beach, up and coming Calgary metal act Flashback, Siksika Nation’s hard rock act Iron Tusk, and a full afternoon roots rock Sunday brunch with The Denim Daddies, Bobby Dove, Jody Shenkarek and more. In addition, Winterruption is proud to showcase the best local Edmonton artists including The Hearts & Billie Zizi who join the festival after critically acclaimed new releases and sold out local shows.

The music/​comedy/​drag/​winter festival takes place in multiple downtown Edmonton venues including The Starlite Room, Rocky Mountain Icehouse, McDougall United Church, Temple, The Cask & Barrel, 9910, Double Dragon, Downtown Edmonton Community League, Evolution Wonderlounge as well as adding the CKUA Radio performance space and The Dive Bar to its list of downtown locations.
