Script Salon: Marv N Ev by Jason Long

@ Holy Trinity Anglican Church Upper Artspace // 7:30 pm

Join Script Salon on Sunday, April 13th for a new play by Jason Long called Marv n Ev, a charming story of two seniors. Let’s give a warm welcome to Jason, who will come up from Calgary for this reading. We are also delighted that Mieko Ouchi will join us as director.

Marv N Ev
By Jason Long | Directed by Mieko Ouchi

The simple, uncomplicated friendship of two lifelong fishing buddies is put to the test – on a small boat, floating in the ocean, with a strange Norwegian along for the ride.

Jason Long has been writing for film and theatre in Canada for over six hundred years. He’s co-written four feature films, written and directed a couple of shorts, and has worked tirelessly for four plus years to convince an incredibly skittish neighbourhood cat to like him. He is also a comedian and actor, having played various creeps and weirdos in many series and films, including The Abandons, Wyonna Earp, The Order, and Young Drunk Punk. Jason is an instructor in the film department at the SAIT. He has previously facilitated screenwriting workshops with organizations such as Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio, Alexandra Writers Centre Society, NUTV, and the Calgary Society Of Independent Filmmakers.

Script Salon starts at 7:30PM in the Upper Arts Space at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue). Doors open at 7PM. Script Salon presents on the second Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door. Refreshments available. Free parking. Playwright talkback.
