About
Join Mill Creek Colliery Band for their presentation of Operamania on Saturday, November 2 at 7:30PM at St. Andrew’s United Church (9915 148 St NW).
Join the Mill Creek Colliery Band as they celebrate the wonders of the opera. From The Force of Destiny and Magic Flute to Spamalot, it promises to be an enjoyable evening for all!
The Mill Creek Colliery Band (MCCB) seeks to promote the British brass band tradition in Western Canada, employing all the traditional instruments of that ensemble. The name of the band pays homage to the historical connection between 19th century working class northern England, and the brass bands which flourished during that time. The name also refers to a prominent ravine area in Edmonton, itself the site of important coal mining activity in the early days.
Due to the loud noise of colliery bands, this performance is not recommended for children aged 4 and under.
