Join Chorale Saint-Jean for their presentation of Le Requiem de Mozart on Sunday, April 13, starting at 3:00PM, at First Presbyterian Church (10025 105 St)
Le Requiem de Mozart est incontestablement l’une des plus grandes œuvres musicales jamais conçues. Sa création ayant été interrompue par la mort prématurée de son grand compositeur, elle est restée entourée de mystère pendant des siècles. Venez la découvrir avec nous ! Le dimanche 13 avril, la Chorale Saint-Jean interprétera l’achèvement formidable de Robert Levin de cette œuvre grandiose accompagnée d’un orchestre professionnel et d’un quatuor de solistes renommés (Catherine Kubash, Catherine Daniel, John Tessier et Roderick Bryce). La deuxième partie du concert présentera une variété de belles œuvres plus contemporaines qui vous feront rentrer chez vous avec un grand sourire. Un concert à né pas manquer !
Mozart’s Requiem is indisputably one of the greatest musical works ever written. With its composition interrupted by the great composer’s untimely death, it has remained shrouded in mystery for centuries. Come and discover it with us! On April 13th, Chorale Saint-Jean will perform the Robert Levin completion of this grandiose work with professional orchestra and a cast of exceptional soloists (Catherine Kubash, Catherine Daniel, John Tessier and Roderick Bryce). The second half of the concert will feature a variety of beautiful, more contemporary works that will send you home smiling. A concert not to be missed!
