Edmonton Classical Guitar Society presents Marko Topchii, Classical Guitarist

Ukrainian guitarist Marko Topchii has won over 100 awards in international competitions, including first prizes in the International Guitar Competition Francisco Tárrega and the Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition, the two most important events of their kind in the world. Born into a musical family in Ukraine in 1991, Topchii began playing the guitar at the age of four. He is a graduate of the Kharkiv Conservatory and pursued advanced studies with Judicaёl Perroy at the San Francisco Conservatory and the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva. He has performed worldwide in such esteemed venues as Carnegie Hall (New York), the Salle Cortot (Paris) and Yamaha Ginza Hall (Tokyo).
