Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director, Programs, Services and Access (AED) serves as an engaged, collaborative leader. The AED holds a pivotal role within the EAC as a member of the Executive Office (ExO), the office is comprised of the Executive Director alongside the leadership of two Associate Executive Directors. Together the ExO provides organization-wide leadership, advancing strategic direction and operational performance, monitoring the impact of the EAC while creating an environment of continuous improvement.
The Associate Executive Director, Programs, Services and Access, aligns and guides the work of the portfolios within their external facing division which include Public Art, Arts Development and Investment, Shop & Services and Community Animation and Creative Partnerships.

Our Arts Development and Investments (ADI) team provides advisory services and oversees investment processes for individual artists, collectives and organizations that engage artists and arts workers. Their work provides responsive support to build capacity in the Edmonton arts ecosystem. Under the guidance of the Manager, ADI, and through the active engagement as a contributing member of the ADI team, the Program Advisor is responsible for supporting the work of the team which includes:
- Working collaboratively in the administration of all investment opportunities for individuals, collectives and organizations that seek funding through the EAC.
- Providing efficient program management, applicant support, facilitation of peer assessment processes, and internal reporting for the effective delivery of EAC investments.
- Acting as a key point of contact with the EAC for artists and arts organizations as they pursue their artistic and community engagement goals.
- Maintaining relationships with the artistic community by providing feedback, application assistance, information about EAC development and investment opportunities and connection to other EAC programs and services.
- Collaborating across the EAC to support and implement new initiatives, as directed.

The Edmonton Arts Council Society (EAC) is seeking nominations for potential Board Directors to begin in June 2025. Directors are elected by the membership to a three-year term, for up to two consecutive terms. The EAC is seeking at least two, and up to four new Directors this year to balance the knowledge, capacities and demographics of the Board. Nominations are encouraged from diverse communities, particularly those from Indigenous and/or equity-deserving backgrounds. The Board also welcomes nominations of individuals with connections to visual arts and/or film and media arts, while noting that any potential Board member must be able to consider the whole ecology from a governance perspective.
